Recently graduating from Miami University of Ohio with a bachelor’s degree in Music Education, Piper is excited to be teaching six different instruments at Dietz Brothers Music.  Studying music education in college allowed Piper to spend time studying and performing all the instruments of the band and orchestra.  Primarily a string bass player, Piper dedicated the rest of her time to practicing the violin, viola, cello, trumpet, and trombone.  Piper has been lucky enough to study under great performers such as Lou Kabok, Steve Ullery, and Pansy Chang.  She has completed master classes with Victor Wooten and Skip Edwards, and has been lucky enough to perform professionally in the Dayton Philharmonic and for the great A.R. Rahman.  She enjoys listening to and performing all types of music, but her real passion is classical music.  Piper loves teaching and her optimistic attitude towards learning creates a great environment for all future musicians!

Lauren Bendig

Lauren has been involved with music since she was very young, playing piano and singing. Even though she dabbled with piano here and there, her true passion has always been playing the guitar. Lauren started taking guitar lessons at Dietz Brothers when she was nine years old with Carrie Dietz and has loved it ever since. She has always been the singer/songwriter type, yet she also loves pop, soul, and rock. Recently, Lauren graduated from Mira Costa High School where she sang in the choir for four years. During these short high school years, Lauren has performed in Carnegie Hall and toured and sang in some of the most outstanding cathedrals in France and London, such as Notre Dame and Windsor Castle. Lauren is currently studying to receive her degree in Music Therapy. At Dietz, Lauren is enjoying building up her clientele and feels that with each new student, her passion for music is getting stronger.
